Step 1: Integration begins with a Planning Phase
We collaborate with the customer to design an integration that meets the requirements as specified by the customer. Sometimes our tech works as-is, but sometimes additional design is required. We support customization of PCBs / sensors, mechanical design / enclosures, embedded software, and application layer software.
This example is for the integration of our Atopia Module into a “smart baseball” that can measure angles, spin, trajectory, etc. In this case, only 1 out of 3 sensors in Atopia were used – the 9-axis IMU. This was developed as a tool for training pitchers.
We were also tasked with integrating the Atopia Module separately into a smart sleeve to measure sEMG + IMU simultaneously. We were able to use the same Atopia Module, with no modifications, to leverage high-quality sEMG sensing in the forearm, embedding the technology into a textile sleeve.

Step 2: Design, Prototype, Qual
We create the design and build it for customers to test. Or, we can design and execute a qual test campaign to ensure the product meets requirements.
Here, we explored different methodologies and verification strategies on behalf of the customer.

Step 3: DFM
This critical step ensures that the final product has been through Design-For-Manufacturability optimizations intended to cover the launch configuration of the product.
